Dear Lewis PR

I just wanted to say what a fantastic site you put together in such a short space of time to keep us updated with the progress of the Thames whale.

This story is of great interest to us as we are closely involved with whales (fins, humpbacks, minkes and the occasional Northern RIght Bottlenose) here in West Cork. Dr Nicholas Slocum zoologist and lifelong naturalist and MD of Whale Watch West Cork has been commenting on the curious and uncharacteristic behaviour of a number of whales in the UK and Ireland over recent months and we are both very grateful for your reporters' up-to-the-minute comment and your informative website.
Thank you.

In the end experts said it did not look ill.

What I would like to know is why they decided to use that blow-up stretcher method?

I'm rather angry about the hastiness involved.

It looked like gonzo was laid on the hard deck of the barge, was this the case?
